So, we didn't manage to gather for a Christmas picture, but I can describe what it would have looked like. Me on the floor by the tree handing out presents in my new navy blue jacket and black slippers; Mom and Dad snuggling on the couch, cozied up with mom's latest knitting project; Orson munching on some almond roca from his stocking and smirking everytime I open yet another Dean Kootz novel (6 of them wrapped individually in various places under the tree); Grandma on the other couch recieving gratitude for all of her cool keychain gifts; and Anthony chuckling at his talking card from "Southpark." Oh, and the tree, window, bookshelf, and piano are all smothered in christmas light creating a warm back-glow. Oh, and there's like a foot of snow outside waiting to be formed into snowangels. Oh, and if you look closely at Orson's mouth, you notice a small trail of drool as he is thinking about the strawberry-french-toast-sausage-eggs-orange juice-sparkling cider-hot cocoa-whipped cream breakfast that lies ahead.
For the rest of the day, we put on christmas movies and played cards with Richard and Becky. I can't remember if it was Christmas Day or Eve, but Orson had a tragic run of bad games. 7 straight terrible "cover your assets," a defeat at chess by Penny, 3 defeats at Parcheezi by Penny, a defeat at chess by Anthony, some scum, and more cover-your-assets. It was pretty rough, after about 4 hours, he was completely non-responsive, not kidding.
The night before he left, we amused ourselves with 2-man Balderdash. Yep. It was pretty interesting, the Dasher wrote a fake one and the real one, and the other person chose between the two. I think all the losses were starting to mess with his head becuase when I got the acronym PCS, he chose my lame "Pink Car Sales" over "Phillipine Collectors Society." That one still gets me...heh heh. Pink Car Sales... oh, he ended up losing Balderdash.

my friend told me that he and his girlfriend play on-line boggle all the time. so i checked it out. it's amusing, but retarded because of the all the words they allow. the only way to do well, is to just type in every possible combination of letters as fast as possible.
you can read my blog if you log into your pennyjccbell account.
Looks like you guys had a great Christmas:)
